  • Program Duration 30 Months
  • Internship in Malaysia 24 Months and 6 Months International Internship

Overview

This program embraces both the Swiss Philosophy of Hospitality Education and the internationally recognized best practices in its approach to Work Based Learning(WBL). Hence, through this program students are equipped with the knowledge and skills on the operations of the hotel and hospitality industry, as well as the fundamentals of business, management, marketing, economics, and accounting.

Because it adopts a WBL, in the curriculum, students are exposed to leadership and soft skills that will mold them into competent graduates who are ready to take their careers to the next level.

Apart from the emphasis placed at the workplace, practical experiences are gained through:

  • Problem and project-based learning that develops problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork
  • Field trips to widen a student’s perspective of the hospitality industry
  • Participation in seminars and workshops conducted by industry representatives and leaders
  • Real practical training and experience at leading hotels

 Entry Requirement

  • SPM 3 credits in any subjects; or
  • GCE/ O Level 3 credits in any subjects; or
  • UEC 3 subjects with grade B; or
  • Certificate in the relevant fields from EWIC or a recognized institution by the government of Malaysia with PNGK/CGPA 2.00; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications as recognized by the government of Malaysia.
  • Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least credit in three (3)
    subjects; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade
    C (GP 2.0) in any subject; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Maqbul;
    OR
  • A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in the related field.
    (Note: HEPs need to conduct specific screening and guidance related to
    the field of the program for the students); OR
  • A Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in the
    related field with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • Intemational students are required to achieve a minimum Band 3 in
    Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR equivalent to score of High
    81 in Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)*.

Overview

As a dynamic quality educational provider, the EWIC focuses on the 3Is, which is – Internationalisation, Innovation, and Individualisation to enhance graduate employability. As such, EWIC introduced a new breed of Business Diplomas which are designed to not only provide fundamental competencies on principles related to business discipline that includes account and finance, marketing, economics, e-commerce technology, business law, and communication through common core subjects; but students now have a wider spectrum of choice to specialize in the emerging business and management fields in the face of internationalization and globalization.

With this new curriculum structure, students can choose to specialize in the areas of international business and marketing, human capital and performance management, international logistic and supply chain management, practical-based accounting skill training and personal finance planning and enterprising endeavors. Students will learn how to adopt an inquisitive approach.

They will also be equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and skills that are fundamental to exercising critical thinking in the competitive business arena. The program also centers on quality teaching and learning experiences, which will empower students to excel in the challenging job market. In particular, the 2-year diploma is designed to meet the needs of industries with holistic disciplines like management, marketing, accounting & soft skills. These help provide a solid foundation for undergraduate degree studies. 

 

Entry Requirement

  • SPM With 3 Credits Or Higher.
  • GCE ‘O’ Levels With 3 Credits Or Higher.
  • UEC With 3 subjects with grade B
  • Certificate in the relevant fields from a recognized institution by the government of Malaysia.
